Therefore, Schindler joined Federated Innovation to work in the area of Proptech and Smart Spaces.
Over the course of 2023, we aim to collaborate and to develop proof of concepts with the other Federated Innovation partner companies.
Schindler was one of the sponsors of 2022 edition of HackZurich, European´s largest Hackathon. The Milan lab contributed in the organization of our challenge for the hackers: Elevate Passenger Experience
13 teams tackled our challenge, using our brand-new APIs to create applications that make the journey through a building more enjoyable.
We left the event with fantastic memories of an enthusiastic atmosphere and many imaginative ideas in our pockets! Thanks a lot to HackZurich and to all participants for their brain power and stamina, it was awesome!

In the spring semester of 2022, we had set-up a small challenge for the Leadership & Innovation students of Politecnico di Milano, where we asked them to propose how we could revolutionize the elevator user experience with the use of multimedia content, screens, and smartphone interaction.
There were 14 groups of students that took part in the challenge, and we got some interesting inputs from them.
